The Band

Throughout Slack Ma Girdle's 26 year musical journey, we have delighted our clientele with our wide variety of music and dances to suit all ages and tastes. 

As a professional and versatile 6 piece Devon based ceilidh/folk-band, we boast an impressive selection of instruments - 14 at the last count, including traditional folk instruments plus bass clarinet, clarinets and feet!  

Having performed in a wide variety of venues, both inside and out, we have built a longstanding reputation as a friendly and adaptable band - "The Devon Ceilidh Band For All Occasions".

What we do

We will provide music for dancing and a caller to guide you through the dances - no previous barn dance experience is necessary, just a willingness to have a go!

For the less energetic, we play a wide variety of music for you to enjoy.  We'll supply the entertainment for your event, whether it's a wedding/birthday celebration or a community event.
